A certificate training programme for educators’ professional development on Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
SEL Shala is an all-encompassing programme for educators’ professional development. The intention is to create an immersive experience and a space for deeper self-reflection for educators and educational institutions.
This programme is well-suited for teachers, principals, parents, caregivers, social workers, counsellors, mental health workers and others.
Through a variety of experiences such as expressive writing, poetry, pair-share protocols, small group discussions, audio-visuals, art, and research, SEL Shala enables participants to dig deeper into social-emotional practices of self, children and the organisations they are part of. They also get to explore resources such as framework documents, research materials, SEL activities, and lesson plans to further bring it into their practice.
Our SEL Framework
Apni Shala’s SEL framework centers the promotive and preventive Mental Health approach and seeks guidance from CASEL and SEE Learning.
